Tama

These are basically bobbins that are used with the marudai or kumimo discs. They were traditionally made from clay and were not specific weights as such. The ones I make are wooden and, if required at a certain weight, can have pewter inaerts to increase the weight though I cannot guarantee an exact weight due to the material.Dimensions of the basic ones are 35mm dia x 40mm long  Weight will inevitably depend on the wood but tends to be in the range of 30 - 35grams each. The ones pictured were made from oak but this may vary according to what I have in stock
