This gorgeous 20cm bowl is made from lime. It has been turned by Pete and the art work designed and created by Mo. The design is hand drawn then pyrographed. This bowl is a beautiful example of zentangles. Made of sycamore and finished with a hard wax polish it is both decorative and practical. Not too big at 10" diameter it is one that would fit into almost any décor.
This bowl is made from english elm and has been ebonised on the outside leaving the inside to contrast with it's beautiful grain. Around the outside are genuine pearl cabochons and four carnelian ones for contrast. It measures 170mm (6 3/4") diameter and inside depth is approx 55mm (2 1/4") The pearls are set into a raised, dark red band and the main body outside has been textured, again to contrast with the inside. Not all bowls need to be huge to be both attractive and useful. This little bowl is made from field maple with just a little bit of spalting and has a band of sisal set into the outside. I love mixing media like this. It measures just170mm (6 3/4" diameter and is approx 50mm (1 3/4" deep. This highlights the natural defect making it a feature according to the Japanese art.

Various plates & Platters
This platter measures 290mm (11.5") diameter (interior diameter 190mm) and is made from ash. It has been both stained and textured highlighting the grain. Finished with a hard wax polish it is an ideal platter for bread, biscuits etc in the centre of a table or of course for the oproverbial dump for keys, loose chgange etc.
This unusual platter is made from a slice of hawthorn and has been made to rest onthree ebony button feet. It measures approx 255mm (10") by 230mm (9") in a shape totally distated by the wood. It has a few brass inclusions, kinsugi style and is finished with a hard wax polish.It is food safe and copuld be used as a fruit platter or even a novel cheese board if wished.
This gorgeous example of a rustic yew platter is one for the lover of natural wood. It has been carefully turned from a piece of yew that many would have discarded. All the fissures and splits that have naturally occurred have been filled kinsugi style with brass and whilst perhaps no good for soup it makes an interesting piece for smaller fruit. and all the ods and ends one tends to collect.
